Vangipurapu venkata sai laxman was born in 1st Nov 1974.laxman was born into a telugu bramin family.
laxman made his under-19 debut for india against australia in 1994.scored 88* in debut.laxman made his test debut in 1996 against south africa and scored fifty in second innings.

He retiered in june 2011.
