Indian middle-order batsman Cheteshwar
Pujara is set to start a new innings off the
field, as he has got engaged to Rajkot-based
Pooja Pabari in a simple ceremony.

Pujara’s engagement was a simple ceremony
held in the city, attended by Saurashtra
captain Jaydev Shah – the only cricketer to
be present at the function.

The 22-year-old Pooja has completed her
MBA in retail management, and hails from
Jamjodhpur in Jamnagar district in Gujarat.

The 24-year-old cricketer’s father, Arvinda
Pujara informed, “We decided to have a low-
key affair at a city hotel.”
Due to Pujara’s packed cricketing schedule,
the date of the marriage hasn’t been fixed
yet. “The marriage will not take place in the
near future as Cheteshwar has a very tight
schedule for the next few months.”
His father added, “It was an arranged
marriage. But happening with the consent of
both of them.”

Pujara can be added to the England series and the marriage can start after the series
